Overview of Jin Shin Jyutsu

Jin Shin Jyutsu (Jit-su) is a gentle form of acupressure that seeks to restore balance to the body's natural energy flow patterns. By gently applying hands on different areas of the body in a specialized pattern, energy is stimulated to reawaken and move harmoniously through the energy pathways

What happens during a session

Vicki Landes's healing work begins with a comprehensive assessment to determine what is needed on all levels of health - emotional, spiritual, and physical.

The client is on a massage table laying face up, fully clothed. Vicki applies various "flow patterns" by gently moving her hands to different areas of the body. This work does not involve massage or manipulation of muscles, but rather the application of gentle pressure to achieve energetic rebalancing. Sessions generally last about an hour. Other healing modalities may be utilized if needed and desired including:

Aromatherapy - the use of essential oils, which are extracts or essences from flowers, herbs, and trees.

Reiki, Usui Style - a Japanese healing art that allows universal life energy to flow to the recipient harmonizing mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is done over clothing using a gentle laying on of hands to restore balance, increase energy and promote relaxation.

Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help - instruction in the self-application Jin Shin Jyutsu for daily practice. This improves the impact of treatments empowers clients to learn how to harmonize their energy, relieve symptoms, and increase overall health and vitality.

The Theory behind Jin Shin Jyutsu

Illness, injury, and stress can cause energy to become blocked, stagnant, deficient, or over-stimulated. This energy imbalance can often be the cause of symptoms in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual realms. As an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy of the body, Jin Shin Jyutsu promotes optimal health and well-being and facilitates our own profound healing capacity.
