Overview

Oriental Medicine (Traditional Chinese Medicine and others) is a primary health care modality that has flourished in Asia for at least 2,500 years. It is used in the treatment of dysfunctions of the body, pain, and many overall symptoms. In addition to using traditional tiny needles, it includes the techniques of electro-acupuncture, cupping, and moxibustion, no-needle techniques.

Acupuncture is practiced based on discerning the bodies "pattern of disharmony" and treating accordingly. It encompasses the use of herbal medicine, oriental massage, acupressure, breathing techniques, exercise, and nutrition. The practitioner takes a complete history before starting a treatment plan. At IMC there may be consultation with the primary physician. Amy and Kim look forward to talking with you about your condition.
