What happens in a session?

During a session with any IMC provider, your specific pain, the history of any trauma, the things you have tried in the past and your medical history will all be taken into account.

The theory of the IMC Team approach

The theory of a team approach to pain management, particularly chronic pain management, is that there is a variety of reasons why the pain has developed and therefore a variety of approaches and changes will address the pain from many angles.

Careful evaluation to determine the diagnosis for the chronic pain is critical

Careful history and examination is important to identify precisely where the pain is, what makes it worse and what makes it better; and what studies have been done and treatments tried.

Structural analysis – how your bones and muscles are actually moving

Nutrition analysis – how your diet is effecting your pain

Stress analysis – determine the triggers for your pain, and discover how you can reduce the effect that stress and change has on your pain.
